'MINIMALISM' | Jones Basement Renovation

​Ever since I moved to this home as a pre-teen I never liked my basement, it was so old fashion, dark, scary and not up to “my” style or standards, but since I wasn't paying any bills around these parts, I had to keep my opinion to myself.

UNTIL...

Sandy happened!!! In 2012, literally two days after returning from a seven day cruise vacation to the Caribbean. New York City was hit with a terrible storm, for the first time in almost 20 years. This particular hurricane managed to flood out my basement with seven feet of sea salt water, destroying everything we owned down there.
